ON MAY 9TH 2017 JASA HELD ITS ANNUAL FUNDRAISER SUCCESSFULLY
JASA’s primary fundraising event of the year was attended by over 200 activists, philanthropists, government leaders, nonprofit officials and JASA Trustees. Their esteemed Honoree of the Year was Hon. Richard Ravitch, the former Lieutenant Governor of New York State, who was acknowledged for his lifetime of work for New York’s residents, in particular, his commitment to diverse and affordable housing to strengthen the city’s communities. The evening’s special guest was Manhattan Borough President, Hon. Gale A. Brewer. Toby Usnik,Founder, Philanthropic Impact Partners, led the evening’s lively auction.
Celebrating Seniors also raises awareness for the need for programs such as JASA’s elder abuse prevention and intervention services, home delivered meals, safe and affordable housing, mental health programs, senior centers, and much more.
