The Paws of NY had their gala and fundraiser on May 23rd at the very trendy
restaurant bar Monarch Rooftop on Midtown Manhattan to celebrate their
2022 Annual Spring Benefit which raised $60,500 with the loyal support form
community and dedicated volunteers.
Organizers and attendees were excited to
have a gathering in-person since 2019. More than 140 people came together to
celebrate and help to raise funds for this amazing organization who is devoted to
help pets and people in need
attendees enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres, open bar and of
course, a magnificent city skyline! The funds were raised from sales tickets,
donations and a silent auction who was hosted by Lucas Hunt of Hunt Auctioneers
It is important to mentioned the generous support from
The Irving and Phyllis Millstein Foundation for Animal Welfare Ltd.,
Citymeals on Wheels,
and Paws volunteer Amy Schrauf. When the community comes together amazing
things happen like making the Paws gala a huge success. Paws NY's mission is to
help low-income older adults and individuals with illness and/or disability to keep
their pets who are often their support companions avoiding giving up their pets or
placed them in a shelters which are overcrowded.
The founder of this noble
organization is Rachel Herman who had poured her soul into the efforts to make a
better life for people with pets in New York City. She was able to gather the finest
individuals to work at Paws NY as volunteers who give their value time to others
