THE US TASTING TRADE SHOW was held
this year at the Metropolitan Pavilion. New and established wine and spirit companies brought their best offerings, ready for buyers to stock US stores from a diverse pool. We had the opportunity to taste domestic and international products with novel twists sorely needed in today’s market.
Here were some of the most interesting spirits
from the event:
Quebec based Stadaconé distillery offered their award winning delicious gin that was smooth and creamy, reminiscent of a fantastic French style. They are offered in BLEU ( Blue) ROUGE (Red) and Noir (Black). Each offered a perfect pairing with a high-quality Fever Tree tonic. This show also saw their debut in the US with the Gingria, a novel concept of taking the classic Sangria and using gin as the alcoholic note,
a delicious and fruity drink.
a delicious and fruity drink.
Mycroft Gin is hoping to break into the US market, and the Scotland based distillery offers a delicious glimpse into using different flavor notes that pack a powerful punch. Their 2020 World Gin Silver winner Lavender, Mint, and Honey is a particularly pleasing flavor.
Tennessee Shine Co. delivered classic Moonshine with a Southern twist. We particularly enjoyed their cream infused Moonshine cocktails. These unassuming mason jars with tongue-in-cheek label designs pack a powerful punch. Their creamy concoctions come in classic flavors like Chocolate Moo Shine, Big Orange Dreamsicle, and ‘Nanner Pudding, a must try for any good Southern Style cookout.
